Engine #382 is an American-type blend named after the passenger locomotive engineer Casey Jones operated. Per the composition the manufacturer reports, bright Virginia, dark and white burley, perique, and unsweetened black cavendish are present; the blend also uses deertongue, a traditional flavoring leaf. The cut is ribbon. Deertongue leaf naturally carries a soft, vanilla-like note into the blend; burley provides the nutty, earthy body, while perique gives a plummy spice. Nicotine stays medium.
