Cornell & Diehl Gentleman Caller

Gentleman Caller is a Virginia-and-burley-based ribbon-cut American blend. Deer tongue, which gives the mixture a vanilla-like sweetness, is joined by a small amount of perique for spice; the sweetness comes not from an added flavoring but from this plant's natural scent. The intensity of its aroma is the source of the blend's name: Cornell & Diehl describes the product as reminiscent of a mixture grandmothers kept in a bowl as a room scent while entertaining guests. On the smoke, burley's nutty dryness, Virginia's light sweetness, and perique's occasional spice touch move along together.
