Cornell & Diehl Yorktown

Yorktown is an unflavored Virginia blend. Per the maker's description, stoved red Virginia is combined with bright Virginia and put through the steaming process again; plain red Virginia is then added on top of this base for sweetness. The result is a dark-colored, heavily sugared ribbon cut. Thanks to the double-processed leaf, flavor deepens toward dark fruit, molasses, and bread crust, with tartness staying in the background. It contains no Latakia, Perique, or any casing.
