Former Cross Grain Flake

The Former brand carries the name of Danish pipe maker Hans "Former" Nielsen. Cross Grain Flake is an untopped flake prepared by adding a small proportion of perique to select Virginia leaf, then pressing and maturing it. Virginia's natural sweetness leads; perique leaves a fine accent of spice and fruit. It follows a milder, cooler course than the same line's Straight Grain Flake.
