Iwan Ries Three Star Vanilla Cordial

Three Star Vanilla Cordial is the vanilla-flavored member of the Three Star Cordial line prepared specially for Iwan Ries & Co. in Chicago. A vanilla sauce is applied to a ribbon-cut mix of Burley, Virginia, and black Cavendish leaves; the black Cavendish carries sweetness, the Burley provides body, and the Virginia gives a light sugar layer in the background. The Three Star Cordial line also includes other flavors like cherry and buttered rum; all are built on the same base with different flavorings. Iwan Ries has operated as a tobacconist in Chicago since 1857 and sells this line under its own name.
