No. 5105 Stoved Virginia is an unflavored tobacco in McClelland's bulk series, presented as a stoved black Virginia cake. Per the maker's description, it's prepared in the style of the black Virginia cake that gives classic English mixtures their characteristic taste and finesse; the matured cake is sold fully rubbed out. The stoving process caramelizes the leaf's sugar, deepening its color and taste. In the smoke, it gives a rich, sweet, and naturally spiced profile; fresh Virginia's sharp tang gives way to cooked-fruit and dark-sugar tones. It can be smoked on its own or used as a base for Latakia blends. Discontinued when McClelland closed in 2018.
