McLintock Syrian Latakia Blend

Syrian Latakia Blend is an English-style blend that German maker Kohlhase & Kopp released in its McLintock line, taking its name from its base leaf. It is noted as one of the few blends still using Syrian latakia during a period when Cyprus latakia had become widespread; the latakia is joined by burley and virginia. Syrian latakia gives a less coal-like, sweeter, spicier smoke than the Cyprus version; the burley base adds a nutty body to the blend, while virginia leaves a measured sweetness in the background.
