Sutliff Tobacco Company Barbados Plantation

Sutliff Barbados Plantation is a ribbon-cut aromatic prepared by adding Barbados rum to a base of burley, Virginia, and black cavendish. The maker ties the blend's name to the island where rum was born as a byproduct of sugar refining, and to rum's place in colonial-era trade; the tin text also references the story of George Washington requesting Barbados rum at his inauguration ceremony. The rum topping raises the sweetness but doesn't mask the dry body of the burley and Virginia beneath it; nicotine is measured, and the flavor line is sweet and sugarcane-leaning.
