Sutliff Tobacco Company English Oriental #400341

English Oriental #400341 is an English mixture in Sutliff's numbered bulk line that puts Turkish/oriental leaf forward. Its tightly packed ribbon cut gives a mixed appearance of biscuit tones, golden yellow, russet copper, and veined browns with scattered black flecks. Records indicate the blend also contains Louisiana-origin perique. The aroma rising from the pouch carries campfire smokiness woven with a bright tartness and a musty spice impression. On the palate it's light-to-medium bodied, tracing a piney, peaty, cigar-like flavor line.
