Sutliff Tobacco Company Vanilla Maple #131

Vanilla Maple #131 is one of Sutliff's long-running bulk aromatics. Its base contains bright Virginia grades, natural Cavendish, and sun-cured dark leaf of Brazilian origin. A dark casing is applied to the blend; this both darkens the leaf's color and raises its sugar content, letting the vanilla and maple syrup top note settle in. The resulting profile is sweet but not heavy: maple syrup's caramel-like side and vanilla's creamy side lead, while the tobacco's own taste stays in the background. Nicotine is light. Because of the moisture from the casing, drying it before smoking reduces tongue bite.
