W.D. & H.O. Wills Capstan Mild Navy Cut

Capstan is a family of flakes pressed from unflavored Virginia leaves, launched by Bristol-based W.D. & H.O. Wills more than a century ago. Mild Navy Cut represents the softer wing of this family and over time became identified with the version known by its "blue" label; during pressing, the leaf's own sugars come forward, with no outside flavoring casing added. Its character stays tied to the plain-Virginia tradition: a bready, grassy, lightly fruity sweetness comes together with a measured nicotine load. Since it arrives as flake, the leaf needs to be rubbed out or folded before packing; smoked slowly, it holds its balance.
