Ashton Gold Rush

Gold Rush is a ribbon-cut blend built entirely from Virginia leaf. A light lemon-and-honey-based top note is applied over it; when the tin is freshly opened, this lemony sharpness stands ahead of the honey sweetness, and the two draw closer together as the smoke progresses. Strength and flavor intensity stay medium-light. Since the blend is tinned without long resting, it delivers the deep, mature sweetness sought in pure Virginias only to a limited degree; when moisture is high it tends to run hot, so it should be aired and smoked slowly.
