Peretti Blend D-7485

D-7485 is a blend Boston's L.J. Peretti reportedly created in 1933, founded by Joseph Peretti for then-British Prime Minister Ramsay MacDonald. The letter and number in the name indicate the blend's place in the firm's ledgers; this record is in ledger D. Peretti's own Burley forms the backbone, with Virginia, Oriental leaves, and a pinch of Latakia added on top. The cut is coarse, so it packs easily and burns without trouble; it comes out of the package at a smokable moisture. Burley leads, Virginia adds a fine sweetness, and Latakia adds body and depth.
