Wilke Pipe Tobacco Hearth of Galway

Hearth of Galway is a private blend Wilke Pipe Tobacco prepared for the Pipe Smokers of Ireland club. The brand has kept up its tradition of producing shop and club blends since its founding; this record is among the members of that line where the Latakia character weighs heaviest. Cyprian Latakia makes up roughly half the composition, joined by a notable Tennessee Burley share, a small amount of natural cavendish and black cavendish, with Virginia at the base. The Latakia intensity brings a layer of soot, tar, and burnt wood forward, while Burley gives a dry, nutty body and cavendish adds a softening sweetness. Body and flavor are high, and the room note is strong.
