Wilke Pipe Tobacco Pipemaker's Choice

Pipemaker's Choice, according to the maker, is a recipe Elliott Nachwalter created for his first pipe shop in Stowe, Vermont; the blend is still carried today in Wilke Pipe Tobacco's bulk catalog. A generous amount of Latakia is added over a Virginia base, and the mixture is rounded out with a variety of cavendish leaves. Described as a medium-bodied English blend, the cavendish addition leaves only a light sweetness; Latakia smoke defines the dominant character.
