Wilke Pipe Tobacco TC Black & Gold

TC Black & Gold is a blend in Wilke Pipe Tobacco's bulk aromatic series. According to the maker's recipe, a small amount of Latakia is added over Burley and Virginia leaf, finished with a casing that leaves a subtle vanilla note. This construction sets the blend apart from straightforward aromatics: sweetness stays on the surface, while the tobacco's own bready, woody base comes forward. Wilke is a blending house founded in New York in the late 19th century and now operating out of Fall River, Massachusetts.
