Wilke Pipe Tobacco Wilke No. 187

Wilke No. 187 is a blend in the brand's bulk aromatic series. According to the maker's recipe, it's built by adding Virginia to black cavendish and dark Burley, and it carries a pronounced sweet side in the smoke. The sweetness comes from both the cavendish processing and the casing applied to the blend; Burley, meanwhile, provides a dry base that keeps the sugar from dominating on its own. The blend burns slowly and leaves no harshness on the tongue, with nicotine sitting mild to medium. Wilke's 180 and 190 series generally consist of this style of cavendish-centered aromatics.
