Robert McConnell Scottish Cake

Scottish Cake is an unflavored blend of Virginia and Burley leaf with Perique added, pressed and sliced into broken flake. The slices are wide and coarse; they can be easily rubbed out for packing or folded in, the latter method slowing the burn. On the flavor axis, Virginia's natural sweetness sits alongside Burley's nutty, dry character, with Perique adding a measured spiciness. With no flavoring added, the leaves' own character shows through.
