Peretti Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day is a seasonal blend Peretti has reportedly prepared every year since 1939, timed to the Thanksgiving period. It is obtained by flavoring seven distinct tobaccos with dark rum and fruit juice and pressing them; it is presented in hand-breakable four-ounce blocks. The base is Burley; the block structure both lets the flavoring work into the leaf and slows the burn. The profile sits dark fruit and spicy rum, with a light floral top note, over the nutty side of the Burley base. Because it is pressed, the flavoring and leaf continue to meld as it rests in the jar.
