Astley's No.55 Elizabethan

Astley's No.55 Elizabethan is a flake blend carrying on the unflavored Virginia tradition. The pressed leaves are sliced and tinned; preparing it requires rubbing out and airing the flakes. In the smoke, dark fruit, citrus, an earthy base, and a faintly tangy sharpness all appear together. Since citrus notes are subdued, the leaf's buttery mellowness comes forward, and a grassy lightness rounds out the blend's complexity. Body is medium.
